Florida’s vote-by-mail rules have changed—and many Lee County Democrats are no longer signed up to get a mail ballot in 2026. These are some of our most reliable voters—and unless we reach them, many could be left behind. Your quick, helpful conversations will make a real difference. You can make calls whenever it works for you–anytime between 9am-8pm on Mon-Sat, and 11am-7pm on Sun!  Sign up to be sent all the details and begin making your calls. Training and support provided.

Sign up our organizer can prepare enough materials for an assembly-like team effort to stuff candidate and voting information into door hanger sleeves for our canvassers to take door to door.

The Democratic Veterans Caucus of Florida is a growing chartered caucus of the Florida Democratic Party.  While there are more veterans in Florida than any other state, you don’t have to be a veteran to join, just be dedicated to protecting their interests. Through grassroots efforts, the DVCF acts to elevate veterans and veteran issues within the Democratic Party in Florida and the nation. We firmly believe veterans of all services and eras have the necessary leadership, discipline, and determination to provide the Democratic Party with a loyal, knowledgeable, and proven voice of advocacy on major issues facing our state and our nation. We will be hitting the streets to connect with voters who are at risk of being dropped from the voter rolls and to encourage vote-by-mail enrollment. Our newly developed Deep Canvassing technique is a powerful way to impact our community and ensure every voice is heard directly. Whether you're a seasoned canvasser or new to the process, we will provide you with on the spot training to ensure you're equipped for the task. Let's work together to build a better future for Lee County and beyond. Join us, and let's make a difference! What to bring: Charged cell phone, bottled water, comfortable shoes, a hat, and sunscreen. Event details: 1. Meet in the parking lot of the East Branch of Lee County Public Library, 881 Gunnery Road, Lehigh Acres. 2. Become part of a Deep Canvassing team, working with an experienced Deep Canvasser. 3. Upload your assigned MiniVAN turf (approx 20 doors). Grab your Deep Canvass clipboard, pens, and door hanger letters. 4. Hit the road with your canvassing team. 5. Return to the library, return unused materials, and wrap up findings.

Pizza for ALL!  Clubs, Caucuses, Precincts, Churches, and Community groups become part of the performance strategy by organizing Rapid Response Teams to address daily voter data during the 45-day run-up to the August election.

Mini Reception with David Silverberg, Candidate for Senate 28 Bring your family and friends to meet and greet David Silverberg, who can restore sanity to the Florida Senate.  He will represent from Gateway to East Lee, parts of Hendry and Collier County.  Sign up is required to get on the guardhouse guest list.

Poll watchers serve as trained observers inside polling places, helping ensure that election procedures are followed properly and that every eligible voter has the opportunity to cast a ballot without interference or confusion. Join us for an informative presentation about poll watching and other aspects of the important work of the Lee County Democratic Party’s Voter Protection Team. During this session, you’ll learn: What poll watchers do How that poll watching fits in with other aspects of Voter Protection  Training offered to people who want to be poll watchers What to expect on Election Day How to get involved Attendees will have the opportunity to sign up to become poll watchers with the Lee County Democratic Party’s Voter Protection Team, if they wish. Becoming a poll watcher offers a firsthand look at the election process and an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to democracy.

Members and Allies of the Hispanic Community meet to improve public policy and advance the Hispanic community in SWFL

Thank you for volunteering to be part of the Lee Co Dems Voter Protection (VoPro) Team. This 30 min session will describe the importance of Voter Protection, and the activities involved. We’ll start with introductions of the team, describe activities and end with Q&A.  

Come and join us for a happy hour hosted by the Progressive Club of the Islands!  For a proper head count, sign up at least 3 days before the event.

Join fellow leaders for a 5-6 PM potluck, followed by a 6-8 training session to learn or refresh basic skills to lead your neighborhood. All Precinct leaders, neighborhood captains, and club officers are welcome update the basic leadership tools and resources after a tasty potluck dinner.

The Democratic Party of Lee County is committed to ensuring every eligible citizen has the opportunity to register and vote. To support this effort, volunteers who wish to register voters are required to complete a training session covering Florida’s legal guidelines and voter registration procedures. Become a certified voter registrar and help expand civic participation in our community. This training includes an overview of the voter registration form, recordkeeping and reporting requirements, and the latest updates to Florida election law.

Florida’s insurance crisis is devastating housing affordability, economic stability, and the future of homeownership across our state. Floridians are facing skyrocketing premiums, shrinking coverage options, and growing uncertainty as insurance companies leave the market or dramatically raise rates. Phil Carter, North Lee County’s Democratic candidate for the the Florida House of Representatives, will lead an important community discussion of this issue.  He’ll address the causes of Florida’s insurance crisis, how it impacts homeowners, renters, condo owners, and local businesses, and — most importantly — what can be done about it.
