Florida’s vote-by-mail rules have changed—and many Lee County Democrats are no longer signed up to get a mail ballot in 2026. These are some of our most reliable voters—and unless we reach them, many could be left behind. Your quick, helpful conversations will make a real difference. You can make calls whenever it works for you–anytime between 9am-8pm on Mon-Sat, and 11am-7pm on Sun!  Sign up to be sent all the details and begin making your calls. Training and support provided.

Our newly developed Deep Canvassing technique is a powerful way to impact our community and ensure every voice is heard directly. Whether you're a seasoned canvasser or new to the process, we will provide you with on the spot training to ensure you're equipped for the task. What to bring: Charged cell phone, bottled water, comfortable shoes, a hat, and sunscreen. Event details: 1. Meet in the parking lot of the East Branch of Lee County Public Library, 881 Gunnery Road, Lehigh Acres. 2. Become part of a Deep Canvassing team, working with an experienced Deep Canvasser. 3. Upload your assigned MiniVAN turf (approx 20 doors). Grab your Deep Canvass clipboard, pens, and door hanger letters. 4. Hit the road with your canvassing team. 5. Return to the library, return unused materials, and wrap up findings.

The Democratic Party of Lee County is committed to ensuring every eligible citizen has the opportunity to register and vote. To support this effort, volunteers who wish to register voters are required to complete a training session covering Florida’s legal guidelines and voter registration procedures. Become a certified voter registrar and help expand civic participation in our community. This training includes an overview of the voter registration form, recordkeeping and reporting requirements, and the latest updates to Florida election law.

Seats are limited. Secure yours early! Voters of all parties are welcome, and all voices matter. If your plans change, please update your registration so others can attend. Come meet the candidates shaping your community from the School Board to State House to Congress. During the open forum, you’ll have the chance to submit your questions and hear directly from the panel. This is your opportunity to get informed, get involved, and make your voice heard.

These are the on-the-ground champions who help turn neighbors into voters, organize community action, and keep democracy thriving—block by block. You don’t need experience—just passion, curiosity, and a love for your community. We’ll break down what the role actually involves (no mystery, we promise!), and share all the tools, training, and support you’ll get to succeed. Plus, we’ll talk about upcoming events, how to plug in, and why you might be exactly who we need next. If you’ve ever thought, “Someone should do something”—this is your sign. Open to registered Democrats residing in Lee County, Florida.

Join your fellow North Lee County Dems for a morning of action. We'll be writing postcards to reach voters in our area to remind them to re-enroll in Vote By Mail. When voters get their ballot by mail, it makes it easier for them to participate in elections. It eliminates barriers like long lines, work schedules, transportation issues, bad weather, health events, and illnesses.  Florida voters may not know that all previous Vote-By-Mail requests expired on December 31, 2024, and we all have to re-enroll in order to receive our ballot in the mail.  Also, it's important for voters to know that they should check their registration and mailing address because the Postal Service will not forward mail containing a ballot. Come join like-minded people from North Lee County for action and great conversation. We supply the postcards, pens, and stamps. You supply the energy! Also, please see the companion event to this one: the North Lee County Dems monthly lunch.  After we postcard, we're going to reward ourselves with lunch together at a nearby restaurant.

At this meeting, we'll be deciding what action we'll focus on for our June meeting.   We'll be meeting for lunch, and we're limited as to capacity. You're welcome to attend this lunch meeting whether or not you also have time to postcard with us in the morning before lunch. But we'd love to have you join us for postcarding.

The Democratic Veterans Caucus of Florida is a growing chartered caucus of the Florida Democratic Party.  While there are more veterans in Florida than any other state, you don’t have to be a veteran to join, just be dedicated to protecting their interests. Through grassroots efforts, the DVCF acts to elevate veterans and veteran issues within the Democratic Party in Florida and the nation. We firmly believe veterans of all services and eras have the necessary leadership, discipline, and determination to provide the Democratic Party with a loyal, knowledgeable, and proven voice of advocacy on major issues facing our state and our nation.
